As divided as we have become, it is good to see that there are still issues we agree about. A new study by the University of Maryland has found that bipartisan majorities agree on a series of measures to reduce the use of fossil fuels. These include tax incentives for wind and solar, home energy efficiency, and electric vehicles. The support stems from concerns by both Democrats and Republicans about the effects of fossil fuel on the climate and on health. You can read the full study here.

Protecting the environment should be a high priority for everyone, particularly politicians. They seem to be in denial over the idea that the environment is our life support system - once it's damaged, it may not be fixable.
